Excellent review. Very good information. The Turtle Beach headsets I mentioned on jenncutter.com might not suit your needs. It’s difficult to tell. The X1-X4 series are the large, padded, noise canceling cans and quite comfortable to me and my friend who also has a pair. The more price conscious X1 are corded for both PC and the old 360 puck input. The X31(for 360 only) are wireless for game audio and use the new stand-alone male plug. Not really necessary if all one has is the standard 360 controller, but incompatible with other peripherals. The XLC seem comfortable enough, but after reading the Amazon user reviews I now think independent game/chat audio moves from a luxury to a don’t bother with out. Hope this is helpful.Glad to see your return to video.

I watched your newest clip on Hak5 last night, and I became interested again in cool headphones. I noticed that you spend a valuable amount of time in sound quality which is wonderful! But... I would like to know if there are any cool bluetooth DJ headsets out there to use? I have many Skullcandy's, which are alright, and a really nice Sennheiser to boot. but when I pay around with my IMac, I would like to not have a cable stretching from my computer to my head. What would you recommend?

I've had this steelseries Siberia headset since October of 2008. It fits my head perfectly. I don't have any issues with sliding or needing to readjust. The weight actually hurt my ears for a few weeks during really long sessions (4-8 hours), but that's completely gone now.

I haven't used it on my 360, but the volume of the microphone is fine for me on PC. I actually keep it in the earpiece, as I've found it totally unnecessary to extend it. It picks up everything just as well as if it were in front of my mouth. Maybe you just got a bad set?

These are probably the best gaming headphones that I've owned, but I also bought these to use with my mp3 player. The sound is alright for music, but I liked my old Sennheiser's a lot more in that category.

Also, even though I took good care of this headset, I did have to RMA it once, because both earphones randomly stopped working. If it breaks again, I think I'll go back to Sennheiser, as I believe they have the most reliable and best quality headsets at low/mid range prices.

Jenn, I'm so glad you've decided to come back to vlogging. You are one of my podcasting heroines and definately one of the reasons I've ended up here myself.

I'm not sure you're aware that your audio is out of sync with the video on the mp4 file available over the RSS/iTunes. You may want to take a look at that. The youTube is fine though :)

As for headsets, I can't really tell you, I know a few girls who also have the "one-size doesn't fit all" problem. This maybe something for steelseries to look into since, as a full grown man, I have the opposite problem. For me "one-size-too-small", the mic boom on most headsets is far too short, leaving the mic far from my mouth.

I currently game with a Sennheisher P160 as it's very light, with an excellent mic and clear stereo sound. This headset also comes with a 3.5mm/USB converter dongle so you can have sound without installing sound drivers, on any PC/laptop.

I'm guessing that you could use this headset with the SteelSeries XBOX converter too.

My only problem with the headset comes when I'm podcasting. I've invested in an Audio Technica AT2035 condenser mic. It's so sensitive it pics up the audio leaking from my headset. When I'm recording I'll use ATH-M30 instead.

If you play Team Fortress 2 you're welcome to play with us, and your may found our podcast entertaining too. www.kritzkast.com for all details.

Hi Jenn,
You should find out if CTV broadcasts in HD in your area. No need for the expensive cable...

Open Alpha returns, and the village rejoices. Thanks for the Three Moves Ahead mention.

Re headsets, I've never found one that perfectly satisfied my needs. Either they pinch the ears or the cord is too long (so it gets tangled or snapped by people rolling over it) or the sound just isn't quite right.

Thanks for the controller plug in doohickey recommendation, though. That could make me play my 360 more than I do, because the sound disturbs people who live in the same house as me.

Welcome back to regular video blogging! We need you now - more than ever!

Also, I've never liked neckband headsets for the same reasons you dislike this one. I've never used one that didn't feel like it was going to pull my ears off.
