Jenn Cutter created OpenAlpha to share her love of gaming, tech, accessories, and all things geeky with the world because her friends were, frankly, sick to death of hearing her going on and on about it. You can follow her @JennCutter,, or be old-fashioned and e-mail jenn @, if you want to totally make her day.

  1. Allright! New episode of Openalpha is good. I don’t like music games because I’m hearing impaired. Right now I’m playing Bully on the Wii and music class is driving me crazy, I’m sure to fail nine times out ten. Nice to see Openalpha back in action. My first post from my new black Wii, typed in agony one letter at a time. Need the Wii keyboard badly.

  2. I totally understand how you felt when you finally got the game – I felt the same when I got Wing Commander Kilrathi Saga, in perfect condition and at a reasonable price (yes, I’m a Wing Commander fan) :D
Glad to see openalpha back, can’t wait for more episodes. Have fun at E3.
Oh, your happy happy face is so cute :)

  3. I know you far too well to flatter you with an empty compliment on your appearance, but I’m digging the single braid on your right. Very nice.

On the content, one of your best shows yet – certainly one of your deepest insofar as explaining how you respond to a game. I wonder how many people don’t give games a second or third chance because they never even get to the DLC; you are such a forgiving person.

For me, Parappa is all about the art. The 2D is not merely an economical choice, but one they have a lot of fun with. It’s sort of a video game South Park where the limited animation takes on an artistic style entirely suited to the humor and theme.

    See you very, very soon.

  4. I still find myself saying “I am a chicken from the kitchen and I ain’t kidding, although, nothing is written” all the time. People think I’m insane but I don’t care, best lyrics ever :)
